Fun Friday in Mérida!

On our first Friday in Mérida was a busy day indeed! We had a couple orientation sections in the morning and then we all met at the Catedral to watch a Juego de Pelota Maya!!!

Upon arrival at our school, we were welcomed by our host families. Our "mamás" came to meet us and each Team Merida member was happily paired with their families.

We had a short meeting to meet the onsite team, discuss some details, and eat!!!!

After drinking some well-earned fruit juice and meeting our mamás, we went to our new houses!

Arriving in Mexico!!!!!

After a short flight from Dallas to Merida, our Team was finally able to step on Mexican land for the first time!
All of us were tired but extremely excited about our new adventure. Vanessa and Sean were waiting for us at the airport and we all went together to the school to meet our new families :)

After a very long and extremely exciting day, we are happy to say we are in Mérida! Each one of our team members met their host families today :)
